What is your overall view of the new GBB scheme and its benefit for the Racing and Breeding Industry?
This is an exciting opportunity for British owners and breeders. Having the opportunity to win a bonus that equates to nearly a whole year's training fees is a great incentive to race a GB-bred filly. To win multiple bonuses would be incredible.
Will you change any current practices to take better advantage of the new GBB scheme?
I look forward to targeting some of these bonus races with the syndicates that I manage.
Currently, selling 'commercial' fillies at the sales can be a hardship, with supply often outstripping demand. However, the new GBB will help boost the prospect of these fillies in the ring. It will also encourage some breeders, who perhaps couldn't justify it before, to race some of their homebred fillies... maybe with Hot To Trot!!
