Crazy Luck for Millman syndicate

The place to be tonight will be at a hostelry known as The Crown, somewhere deep in the West Country.

An enthusiastic syndicate of locals, led by the landlord, are known as Crown Connoisseurs and they are celebrating a £20,000 bonus won by their filly CRAZY LUCK at Salisbury.

The win prize money was only £3,777 and that may pay for the party. However, the £20,000 bonus from the Great British Bonus scheme has already paid for her £9,000 purchase price at Goffs UK and probably most of the training fees to date.

This syndicate is 'home-free' already and their trainer Rod Millman is already planning a campaign that takes in another GBB race to win a second £20,000 bonus!

Of course, the other team celebrating will be at Kirtlington Stud, who are the breeders that will also be receiving a nice bonus too. This nursery may be famous for breeding the Derby winners Blakeney and Morston, but CRAZY LUCK will be the toast tonight.

No doubt the banter at The Crown will be about re-investing for next year. Rod Millman has strong views on this matter..."This is a fantastic scheme and brilliant for her syndicate owners. With bonuses of £20,000 per win, why would we be looking at anything but GBB eligible fillies at the upcoming yearling sales?"
